Second Think Tank for Industry in Lemgo

Lemgo. The North Rhine-Westphalia Minister of Science, Svenja Schulze, did the groundbreaking for an extension to the Centrum Industrial IT (CIIT) on the campus of the OWL University in Lemgo. At the CIIT, science and industry join forces to develop automation technology for tomorrow's factory, also known as "Industry 4.0".

At the same time, the Minister presented the CIIT with the Place of Progress award. 121 projects had competed for this award nation-wide.

Weltbild/DBH, one of Europe's biggest media trade companies and the second-largest online book shop in the German-speaking world, banks on ISI Automation GmbH & Co.KG from Extertal when it comes to their returned goods conveying systems. A key role here is played by the Siemens TIA portal which is used by the control specialists for an integrated solution to tie existing components in to a state-of-the-art control and system environment.
